The health card readers presented below meet all the required conditions and are located in list of readers tested and approved by CNAS.
Use of the national health card is mandatory from May 2015. All providers of medical services (family doctors, pharmacies, etc.) in Romania must purchase a CNAS certified reader model.
Casa Nationala de Asigurari of Health has tested and authorized a series of card readers for the national health card. You can find the complete list here.
Attention! Only readers certified by CNAS are guaranteed to work with the national health card and the SIUI system. By using an unapproved reader, you assume responsibility for it not working.
