ACS ACR38 health card reader

The ACS ACR38 card reader is a device that allows reading and writing data on health cards. The user connects to the computer's USB port and then inserts the health card. To have access to the data on the health card, enter the PIN code from the computer keyboard.

The ACR38 card reader is a device with a modern design and easy to use, being based on the USB 2.0 Full Speed communication interface. CCID (Chip Card Interface Device) specifications and support for cards compatible with the ISO 7816 Class A, B and C standard help the operator to use the reader easily.

ACR38 has been tested and validated by the National Health Insurance House (CNAS) as being compatible with the IT system of the national health card.

About the health card:

The electronic health insurance card is an electronic document issued individually for people over 18 years of age. To be functional, the card must be activated. When the card is handed to you for the first time, you must personalize the 4-digit access pin.

The family doctor is the only person who has the right and can write the chip on the card with essential medical data for your health.

It is mandatory that every time you go to a medical service provider in the public health system, you must have your health card and a valid identity document with you.

The following information is stored on the health card:

• Blood group and Rh
• Life-threatening and chronic diseases from which you suffer
• If you are willing to become an organ donor
