Based on an exhaustive analysis of real-life scenarios, the Gemalto Document Reader AT10K includes "landing light" LED feedback that guides the user to accurately place documents, whether the user is left-handed or right-handed.
The lights show a progress bar informing the user that the reader is processing and when it will finish, which is then followed by a glowing red cross or green check mark indicating that the document can be removed.
This feature has been proven to dramatically improve first-time read rates, especially for infrequent users.

The reader also has a new document column clamp that holds passport cards down and works on multiple stapled cards.
