Adobe Systems Incorporated is one of the largest software companies in the world. It was founded in February 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke in San Jose, California.

John Warnock and Charles Geschke left Xerox PARC to develop and sell the product known as PostScript. A real revolution in digital publishing was when Apple Computer purchased, in 1995, the PostScript license to use in laser printers.

For 15 years, the Adobe Systems company was part of the Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For" list. In 2015 , it was mentioned by Forbes on the "World's Most Innovative Companies" list and by Interbrand in the "Top 100 Best Global Brands".

In 2015, Adobe Systems has over 13,000 employees, of which 40% of them work locally, in San Jose, and the rest are located in various parts of the world.

Ever since the beginning, the Adobe company has focused on the creation and development of multimedia products and creative software. The company's reputation and prestige grew with the development of software products such as Portable Document Format (PDF), Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.

The Adobe Systems company is internationally recognized for the following products, used in photo, video and web editing : Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Adobe Audition, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects.
