Zebra DS8178 is a wireless 1D, 2D and Digimarc barcode reader, according to the activities carried out in many departments.

The main features of the Zebra DS8178 scanner are:

Thanks to the 800 MHz processor, the Zebra DS8178 reader quickly scans and decodes 1D and 2D barcodes, even if they are dirty, discolored or poorly printed or are presented on electronic devices: smartphone, tablet, notebook. The integrated high-resolution sensor and the PRZM scanning technology, developed by Zebra , contribute to this performance.

With Bluetooth 4.0 , the data collected by the reader can be transmitted in a continuous flow to any computer, smartphone or tablet with a compatible connection at a distance of up to 100 m. The data communication mode prevents interference between the scanner and the WLAN connection both for employees, as well as for customers.

In addition to 1D and 2D barcodes, the Zebra DS8178 recognizes Digimarc barcodes. These are digital codes, invisible to the human eye, distributed over the entire surface of the product or packaging. There is no need, therefore, to position it in a certain way, to twist the package or other additional movements, the DS8178 scans anyway.

The free SMS (Scanner Management Service) software allows remote management and configuration of Zebra DS8178 scanners and not only from a PC, smartphone or tablet.
